DPI conducted a Comparative Study Visit to Wales from January 12th to 16th to examine issues of Language and Identity in the Welsh context. Participants in this visit included government representatives, journalists, academics, policy makers and others from across Turkey’s political spectrum. The visit took place in Cardiff and the surrounding area. Several of the meetings were held in the Welsh Government buildings in Cardiff. Issues of language and education, identity and language, language and governance and constitutional arrangements were discussed during various roundtable meetings with Welsh Government representatives and other experts in related fields. This visit was kindly hosted by the Welsh Government.
